Do NOT forget to tell us below required information for remote login.
[1] Windows Remote Desktop: external IP address, Administrator's password.
[2] TeamViewer: your ID and password.
[3] VNC: external IP address, password.

Windows Remote Desktop

Step 1. Go to Windows "Control Panel" => "System" => "Remote" dialog tab, check on "Allow users to connect remotely to this computer" option and click OK.

Step 2: Goto your firewall control panel, enable TCP port 3389, refer to Configure firewall on WinXP. If your server is behind a router, config 3389 port forwarding from router to your server, refer to Configure router/NAT for Linksys.

Teamviewer

Step 1. Download TeamViewer (1.4M, free for personal usage) and install it on your server. Normally just click "Next" until install finished. You need not to configure firewall or router's port forwarding.

Step 2. Startup TeamViewer, and you will get an ID and Password (all are numbers). Tell us the ID and password, then we could remotely login to loate and solve your problem.

VNC

Step 1. Download and install VNC (726K, free edition). When on "Select components" step, check-on "VNC Server". After "Ready to install" step, click "Set password" button to enter your VNC password. Then click Next until completion.

Step 2: Goto your firewall control panel, enable port 5800/5900, refer to Configure firewall on WinXP. If your server is behind a router, config 5800/5900 port forwarding from router to your server, refer to Configure router/NAT for Linksys.
