How to Install AA Mail Server from Scratch? 
Database based AA Mail Server is very easy to install and configure. Access database needs not to install but is only suitable for small business. AA Mail Server can auto download & intall SQL Sever 2000 MSDE for you on first-run setup wizard. If you choose SQL Server 2000/2005 Express/Standard/Enterprise, you need to install it firstly before install AA Mail Server.
Step 1. Please always download latest version from our site. Now run AA Mail Server install package, usually you can always click "Next" until finished. Startup AA Mail Server after installation, and first-run setup wizard will auto appear.
Step 2. Choose your database and whether you have installed SQL Server already or not. Assume you have not install SQL Server and need to install it right now. Next step will be skipped when you choose Access or have installed already.

Step 3. Now click "Next" will download & install SQL Server 2000 MSDE automatically. SQL Server 2000 MSDE is free. If you are not small business, you are suggested to install SQL Server 2000/2005 Standard/Enterprise edition yourself.

Step 4. After SQL Server installed ready, you can input connection parameters here. Before goto next you can click "Test" button to detect if connection parameters are correct or not. This step will be skipped too when you choose Access database.

Step 5. Now you can change some initial system parameters, e.g. network SMTP/POP3 ports and Webmail virtual name and login modeter. Normally you are suggested to keep default settings.

Step 6. Last step is startup tips of "What I need to do next after setup" for you. Click "OK" will create databases and Webmail automatically and then AA Mail Server will startup. You can create domains and accounts for your staff.

Step 7. If you have installed firewall on server or your operting system is Windows XP/2003, please remember to open 25/110 port in your firewall. If your server is behind a router, please set port forward 25/110 from router to your server.
